Eval Comments: \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He walked to the play yard with no pull on the leash He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by two dogs at the same time. He tolerated them both sniffing him, but he had concemed eyes and tucked tail.
He began to calmly roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He began to exchange some timid greetings with the calm dogs. There were dogs playing dung his time in the yard, but he did not join in or entice any play. He appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. He would approach the handlers and seek affection. Chance is
sial with the other dogs, but he displayed no play style at this time and would do best with a calmer dog.
