Eval Comments:
- The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out-or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.

contact. He flinched as the handler touched his upper back, briefly exposing his teeth. He relaxed ever so slightly as the handler rubbed his back and coaxed him. He lowered his head with the leash as it was placed on him. He was not leash trained and pulled back lightly. He was picked up by the handler and carried without issue. He did tuck himself into a little ball while being camed but eventually relaxed and leaned his head against the handler. The handler looked into his ears, viewed his teeth, held his paws and held his tall without any negative behavior observed. He was retumed to his kennel without issue. He is under socialized and needs confidence building. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, ADULTS (REO)
