I am a female, chocolate Doberman Pinscher. Shelter staff think I am about 3 years old. I have been at the shelter since Aug 19, 2025. This poor sweetie unfortunately made her way to SBC as another stray who was unclaimed. Now she is on the purge list due to needing medical attention due to having masses in her armpit, mamory masses and on her abdominal area. She needs immediate exit today due to the facility not having a vet onsite even though they have 400+ dogs in their facility at any given time. Now this precious, unnamed girl who is just coming off of stray hold today is thrown right on the purge list for the very same day, and she's rescue only or needs a medical waiver! Please consider helping this precious girl by fostering/adopting her to give her a chance. Please consider opening up your heart and home to save a precious life in desperate need.
Notes according to the facility
08/19/25 OTHER Weight: 67.00 pounds
08/19/25 10:53 Female appears to have masses on her teats
that are bleeding.
08/20/25 OTHER Weight: 69.20 pounds 08/20/25 08:37
The patient has a possible 2-4cm (approximately) soft, mobile
mass under the left armpit. The patient appears to have two
hard 2-6cm (approximately) and 2-10cm (approximately)
mammary masses on the right side of her abdominal area.
She also appears to have a large, hard ulcerated 1-16cm
(approximately) mammary mass on the left side of her
abdominal area. The patient may have more masses that we
are unable to note, at this time, and she will need a more
thorough immediate vet medical exam, radiographs and
possible surgery and to have her masses possibly biopsied.
Since we do not have a vet on site and the shelter is not a
conducive environment for a patient with special medical
needs, we will have to place her on a medical deadline. Will
start on medication per protocol.
This animal requires follow-up care that exceeds the
resources currently available at our facility. A medical deadline
has been set for placement or humane euthanasia if the
condition deteriorates.
If the patient?s health declines, earlier humane euthanasia may
be considered.
********Medical deadline: 08/23/2025 at 2:00PM********
