Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described to day reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on swroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" She walked to the play yard with a light pull on the leash. She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by two dogs at the same time. She tolerated them sniffing, but she was tense as they did so. After the dogs broke away, she began to roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. After a short time, she began to relax more and exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. She approached a female cattle dogmix and offered her a play bow. She retured the play bow and they engaged in gentle/dainty play. She remained social for the rest of her ime in the yard. She did growl and snap back at one female Pitbull that growled, showed teeth and snapped at her. The ocus of the two dogs was easily broken with a shaker can. She had no futher issue with this dog or any other dogs for the rest of her time in the yard. This incident was put down as a personal conflict and her reacting back to the other dog's behavior. She would approach the handlers often, jumping up at them to seek affection. She also displayed some puppy like mouthy behavior at times. She is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle/dainty play style.
