Eval Comments: \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ sinificantly from howthey behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on swroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He would not walk to the play yard and appeared to not be leash trained. He was tolerant of the runner picking him up and canying him to the play yard. He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with a low body and tucked tail. He was approached by a female shepherd. He tolerated her sniffing him, but he was timid and had a low body. He then went to lay down by one ofthe fences. He would tolerate dogs approaching him and sniffing him, as he remained laying down. After some time, he appeared to gain more confidence and began to explore the yard. He began to exchange soft greetings with the other dogs.
After some more time, he began to play bow at a male shepherd and they engaged in some gentle/dainty play. He remained social for the rest of his time in the yard. Bishop is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle/dainty play style. He is a young puppy and needs continued socialization to gain more confidence.
