This sweet girl came to us as a stray and is full of playful energy! ❤️ She loves to run and have fun
Please note Sassy has a bite history where skin was torn and blood drawn, so she is available only through rescue with a signed waiver and indemnity form.
A5718330 along with A5718337 were off leash and roaming an apartment complex when they approached and chased a young girl before managing to bite her on the right ankle exposing fatty tissue. It is unclear which of the two dogs actually bit the girl. NFD
Sassy is social with the other dogs, has a high energy level, and prefers a push/pull playstyle

?The behaviors described today reflect the dog?s responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and
unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out?or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may
change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.?
Sassy was jumping excitedly at the front of the kennel when the runner approached. She was easily leashed and was removed
from the kennel with ease. She jumped on the handler playfully then settled and walked to the play yard with a moderate pull
on the leash. Once in the catch pen Sassy was collared and leashed without issue. Sassy greeted the dogs at the barrier nicely
and was allowed into the play yard. Sassy displayed a loose wiggly body, open mouth pant, loose tail wag, natural ear set,
and soft eyes. Sassy exchanged greetings nicely with a loose wiggly demeanor and then exchanged play bows. Sassy easily
integrated herself with the dogs and participated in pouncy play, play chase, and playful wrestling. Sassy spent the majority
of the play session engaging in play appropriately. When a scuffle broke out Sassy approached and was easily steered away
by the handlers. Sassy maintained a social and playful demeanor with a push pull play style. Sassy could benefit from
continued socialization and confidence building. See additional assessment for placement recommendation.
