He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He approached female shepherd and was tense at first. He then relaxed quickly and exchanged a soft greeting with her. He then approached a male Pitbull that was laying down. He became tense with a high tail, hackles raised and hovered over him. When the male Pitbull stood up to greet him, Blue growled and lunged to try to bite him. A handler nearby was able to pull him away by his leash before he made contact. The male Pitbull was removed from the yard at this time, to see if it was an energy level issue or an issue with male dogs. Blue then approached a different female shepherd and exchanged a soft greeting with her. He then offered her a play bow, and they engaged in gentle/dainty play. He tolerated the female shepherd playfully pawing at him and jumping at him. Her offered no corrections to this and continued to play. He is vocal during play, giving play growls. Due to his unprovoked offensive behavior toward the male dog and remaining social with female dogs, he will be designated as female dogs only required. Due to a prior incident, he will be designated as no small animals required and will require a known history of aggression disclosure form. See handling assessment for rescue only stipulation. He left as the last dog in the play yard after play group, for the handling assessment. The handler knelt and called to him. He approached the handler with soft body language and began to lean against them seeking affection. He allowed the handler to pet his head with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. When the handler lifted his lip to check his teeth, he appeared uncomfortable and gave side eye. He then circled around and continued to lean against the handler seeking affection. He was fine with the handler continuing to pet his head and neck and remained seeking affection. When the handler touched his tail, he looked back and licked his lips. When the handler touched his back paw, he quickly spun around, growling and lunged to try to bite the handler. He was unable to make contact due to the handler gaining long arm control of him on the leash. He lunged and snapped multiple times to bite in a hard manner, to where you could hear his jaws clack. He then sat down and had hard eyes, growling and showing teeth. The handler maintained long arm control on the leash until he appeared to calm down. After a few seconds he calmed down and the handler was able to walk him back to his kennel without issue. He was returned to his kennel and the loop leash removed without further issue. Due to his handling sensitivity and willingness to bite, he will be designated as recue only. RESCUE ONLY WITH KNOWN HISTORY OF AGGRESSION DISCLOSURE, MEDIUM ENERGY
