He was standing in the back of the kennel growling and barking when the runner approached. The runner tried to coax him up, but he would not approach. The runner sectioned him off to one side and he continued to bark and growl at him. He had concerned eyes and a heavy body tremble. When the leash touched him, he growled, and muzzle popped the leash. After a few attempts, the runner was able to loop leash. He walked with a moderate pull on the leash to the catch pen. The runner spent a few minutes building trust with him. The runner tried coaxing him over, but he would not approach. The runner slowly approached him. He was tense, would side eye and freeze with an open mouth pant. The runner slowly clasped the collar around his neck. He was walked into the play yard on a long, loose leash. He was walked up to a female pit and exchanged soft greetings with her. He was then walked up to a male shepherd. He was tense and froze. He was walked out of the yard. Roscoe was visibly uncomfortable around the male in the yard but remained loose with the female. He was taken into the catch pen for a handling assessment. RESCUE ONLY, FEMALE DOGS (REQ)
After play group he was taken into a catch pen for a handling assessment. He was given a moment to acclimate to his surroundings. The handler slowly approached him. He slowly went to pet his back end. He spun around licking his lips, whining with wide eyes and a tense body. When the handler tried to pet his head, he had concerned eyes and was licking his lips with a tense body. Due to his handling sensitivities, he will designated rescue only.
