In the kennel, Bruce shows a tense and concerned demeanor and can be difficult to leash due to fear-based defensiveness. Once outside, he slowly settles but remains cautious with handlers. He tends to avoid people, needs time to warm up, and benefits from gentle, patient handling.
With other dogs, Bruce prefers calmer, low-energy companions. He does not engage in play but is more comfortable with mellow dogs. Around more active or vocal dogs, he becomes tense and may ?hall monitor,? stepping in to interrupt play, but does not escalate.
During his assessment, Bruce stayed tense and wary. He allowed a full exam using an assessment hand, though he flinched and pulled away with certain touches. He returned to his kennel without incident.
