?The behaviors described today reflect the dog?s responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and
unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change
based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.?
Aeries A5742502 was laying down when the runner approached him, he growled, his eyes were alert and his ears were alert.
The runner opened the kennel door and was able to leash him, he walked out of the kennel on his own and he slightly pulled
on leash. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was tense, he growled, his eyes were alert and his tail
was low with no wag. He was easy to collar and leash. He entered the yard and was uncomfortable during the greetings. He
roamed the yard quietly. He explored and sniffed his environmental surroundings. He sat down and watched the dogs after
that and remained there the rest of his time in the yard. Overall, Aeries was selective of the dogs and does not have a
playstyle at this time.

Aeires was at the front of the kennel with a tense body. He stared at the ground while curling his lip and growling deeply. He
made eye contact with the runner, his pupils dilated, and his tail stiffened. He muzzle punched the fence before he began
biting the fence. The runner knelt in front of the kennel, but Aeires continued to growl. He retreated to the back of the kennel
when the runner opened the door. The runner attempted to gently toss the leash over his head, but his growls intensified as
he bit the leash. He could not be removed from the kennel at this time due to his highly defensive behavior in the kennel.
