Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was wary and head shy being collared by the runner in the catch pen and required a go slow approach. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by two dogs at the same time and exchanged soft greetings with them both. She offered a play bowto a male Labrador, and they engaged in gentle/dainty play. After their play, she began to playfully bound around the yard and continued to exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. She remained playful and social with the other dogs for the rest of her time in the yard. She would approach the handlers often and seek affection. She is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle/dainty play style.
