She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by two dogs at the same time and exchanged soft greetings with them both. Shen then walked away and began tc explore the yard. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to exchange soft greetings when dogs approached her. Amale shepherd puppy began to playfully run around the yard. She chased him and initially looked like she wanted to play with him, but then pushed him down with her front paw, while growling. Ahandler used a spray bottle to break her focus, and she resumed exploring the yard. A short time later, she approached a handler in the yard and began to seek affection. Amale shepherd approached near her, while she was receiving affection. She then tumed, growled, and pushed him with her front paw, pushing him down. She appeared to be guarding the affection of the handler from the other dog. Due to her selective behavior in the yard, she may do best in a home as the only dog.

She was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. She was given a moment to acclimate to her surroundings. The handler knelt and called to her. She approached the handler with soft body language and began to lean her body against them, seeking affection. She allowed the handler to pet her head with no reaction. When the handler tred to check her teeth, she would tum her head away. She allowed the handler to check her ears with no reaction. She allowed the handler to touch and hold a rearpaw, but she looked back and licked her lips. She allowed the handler to touch her tail with no reaction. When the handler touched a front paw, she lunged and gave an air snap waming. After the handling she continued to seek affection. She was retumed to her kennel without issue. Due to her handling sensitivities and giving appropriate wamings, she will need to be in an adult only home.
