A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She initially bypassed the other dogs and began to explore the yard. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. After a short time, she began to approach other dogs and would become extremely tense, with a high curved tal and licking her lips. Handlers would break her focus using a spray bottle. She became hyper fixated on a smaller female Pitbull. She began trailing her ensely, with a high curved tail, wide eyes and licking her lips. A handler stepped on her leash to prevent her continuing to trail the dog and she was removed form the yard at this time. Due to her behavior in the yard and her prior history, she will be designated as no other dogs required. Due to her history of attacking at least four dogs in the past, including running off property and jumping a fence to attack other dogs, she will be designated as rescue only and will require a known history of aggression disclosure for.
