My name is Valentine and I am an unaltered male, black and white Labrador Retriever and Border Collie mix. Shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 2 months old. I have been at the shelter since Dec 27, 2025.

💥💥UNBELIEVABLE...DEADLINED to be KILLED at 2pm on 2/13 the DAY BEFORE Valentines' day 💥💥
VALENTINE came into the shelter as a stray on 12/27/25 from Fontana jurisdiction with an adult female and two puppies who have now all been adopted. He has been kenneled with other dogs and was attacked and superficially injured on 1/3/26.
They feed the dogs together in their kennel once daily at SBC. After a few weeks / a month it is not unusual to see food guarding instincts developing in many dogs. On 1/30 staff noted VALENTINE was exhibiting food guarding tendencies and on 2/6/26 he was put into the isolation kennels.......
