Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from howthey behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen and began to seek affection. She entered the play yard with concered eyes and a tucked tail. She was approached by a male husky. She tolerated him sniffing her, but she was tense and had wide eyes. When he lingered in her face, she gave a show of teeth waming for space. He respected the waming and walked away.
She was then approached by a female Pitbull and displayed the same tolerant behavior. But again, gave the same waming. when she lingered in her face. She began to calmly roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to tolerate dogs approaching her and sniffing her and did relax a little more. She remained wary of higher energy dogs or dogs lingering in her face. She would approach the handlers often and seek affection. She would do best with a calm dog that would respect her space and boundaries. Due to a prior incident in the home, she will be designated as no small dogs required. Due to the severity of the attack and injuries to the other dog, she will be designated as rescue only and will require a known history of aggression disclosure fom.

She was taken to the catch pen after play group for the handling assessment. The handler knelt and called to her. She approached with soft body language and began to seek affection. She allowed the handler to pet her head with no reaction.
She allowed the handler to check her teeth with no reaction. She allowed the handler to check her ears with no reaction. She allowed the handler to touch and lift her front paws with no reaction. She allowed the handler to touch her tail with no reaction. When the handler touched her back paws, she tumed back with concerned eyes. She is social and affectionate, but she can be a little wary of faster movements. She was retumed to her kennel without issue. Her rescue only stipulation for the dog attack in the previous home and not for her handling assessment.
