A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from howthey behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences." He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached y a male cattle dog and tolerated him sniffing him, but he had concemed eyes and a tuckedtail He was approached by a male Labrador that lingered in his face, and he gave a show of teeth waming for space. The waming was respected and the other dog walked away. He remained close to the fence for the rest of his time in the yard. He tolerated dogs approaching him and sniffing him, but he remained with a tucked tail. He was especially not comfortable with higher energy dogs or dogs gering in his face. He would allow the handlers to approach and pet him without issue. He would do best with a very calm og that would respect his space and boundaries, to allow him to gain more confidence. He will also need socialization to walking on leash.
