Eval Comments: \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a male shepherd and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She offered him a play bow, but no full play erupted. She then began to calmly roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to calmly roam the yard and exchange soft greetings with dogs that approached her. She remained calm and social for the rest of her time in the yard. She didn't engage in any play, other than offering the one play bow. She would approach the handlers and seek affection. Luna is social with the other dogs, but she displayed no play style at this time. Due to reports of altercations and aggression with other dogs in the previous home, she would likely do best as an only dog in the home.
She will also require a known history of aggression disclosure fom.
