'The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and
unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out'or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may
change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.'
On approach from the inside of the kennels, he did not come forward. Alarm barking and presenting his body sideways. I
went around to the back and he was laying down this time. Low growl, no direct eye contact, I presented my leash and he
sniffed it but did not approach or retreat inside. Able to step in and drop my leash on him, walked out without issue. Hard
pull to the yard (strong dog). In the yard he became loose and engaged. Showed interest in toys but was not able to fully
engage in play. Able to pet/touch and handle without incident. Performed handling \"exam\", he would give some play bows
and zoomies for the tennis ball. At times he would jump up on me but I was able to guide him back down. Re leashed and
returned to the kennel.
