Eval Comments: The behaviors described to day reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out'or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.
He was anxious in the catch pen, barking excessively and pacing the fence while watching the other dogs. He was easily collared by the runner but jumped on him repeatedly for affection. He will need basic manners training. He remained anxious as he entered the yard, running up to the other dogs while whining and obnoxiously greeting them. He tried mounting all the females but was easily steered by the handlers with a squirt bottle. He continued his obnoxious lingering with other dogs. A fernale husky air snapped at him, warning him for space. Cody did not react negatively to the correction but continued to linger near her and remained obnoxious. After several minutes he would not calm down nor be respectful with the other dogs, so he was removed and taken back to his kennel without issue He will need a special dog that can tolerate his higher energy and obnoxious behavior. Otherwise, he was extremely social but just not respectful of the other dogs. He needs further socialization. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, NO DOGS (REC), HIGH ENERGY
