STAFF OBSERVATIONS
07/11/26 15:16 During kennel interaction dog was evasive and would quickly retreat from handler - did not allow to touch/pet despite coaxing. Was able to leash dog and walk easily to grassy area but would back away from interaction. when returning to kennel dog allowed handler to remove leash but pulled head away quickly. go slow if handling.

7/11/26 13:11 O)-rectal diverticulum(sacculation, dilation) with perineal hernia
siginificant bulging at the left pernineum area - about 7oclock position when facing anus. painful to touch
rectal exam found a large volume of impacted feces
irritated rectum and bleeding due to rough surface of dried feces
RAD)Constipation in large intestine -confirmed fecal material in rectal diverticulum
Tx)enema with saline removed fecal material as much as possible manually
Rx)Feed wet food only
miralax 1 tsp PO BID for 5 days
Plan)contacted rescue for corrective surgery ASAP. This requires advanced specialty sx skills. ok to leave before due out date for medical reason-if no rescue interest is found by next mon PM, humane euthanasia will be considered
