He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen, but he fearfully pancaked to the ground. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by two dogs and tolerated them both sniffing him. After the dogs broke away, he began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He continued to tolerate dogs approaching him and sniffing him, but he was timid and did not retum the greetings. There were dogs playing during his time in the yard, but he did not engage in or entice any play. He kept to himself and did not approach the handlers. He would allow handlers to approach and pet him, but he was very timid and needed a go slow approach. Buddy is tolerant of the other dogs and displayed no play style at this time. He would likely do best with a calmer dog.

He was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. He didnot approach the handler. The handler slowly approached him. He allowed the handler to pet his head, but he was head shy. He allowed the handler to check his teeth and ears with no reaction. When the handler touched his front paws, he applied downward pressure to prevent them being lifted and gave side eye. When the handler touched his back paws, he sat down. He allowed the handler to touch his tail with no reaction. He was retumed to his kennel without issue. He is very timid and needs a go-slow approach. Due to this and some handling sensitivities, he would do best in an adult only home.
