Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiiar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
He required a go-slow approach when being collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by two dogs and tolerated them both sniffing him, but he did not retur the greetings. After the dogs broke away, he began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He continued to tolerate dogs approaching him and sniffing him, but he did not retum the greetings. He tolerated dogs playfully bumping inte him as they ran around the yard and he offered no corrections or wamings for space. He remained calm and tolerant of the rest of his time in the yard. There were dogs playing during his time in the yard, but he did not engage in or entice any play.
He did not approach the handlers and kept his distance. Bently is tolerant of the other dogs and displayed no play style at this time. Due to an incident in the previous home of attacking another dog (what appeared to be over a toy), he will likely do best as the only dog in the home and will require a known history of aggression disclosure form. Due to a person being bitten by Bently during the altercation with the other dog, he will also require a bite disclosure form. See handling assessment further stipulations.

He was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. He did not approach the handler, and the handler hadto approach him.
