Play Group Notes:
He was relaxed with an open mouth pant while the runner clasped the collar around his neck without issue. He was tense with hackles raised while greeting a few dogs through the play yard fence. He came in the yard with hackles raised and a tense body. He scanned the yard to see where the other dogs were before exploring. He kept to himself initially, showing no interest in engaging with the other dogs. A calm female shepherd came up to greet him. He froze with wide eyes, hackles raised and lightly growled, warning her for space. His warning was respected and she walked away. He resumed exploring, keeping to himself. A young, male shepherd came up calmly and began sniffing his body. Butch froze with hackles raised while growling with wide eyes. He took a slow step towards the shepherd before the handler pulled him away. He was not comfortable being around new dogs while in the yard. He was relaxed with the handlers and solicited affection with a loose body. He was removed from the yard soon after he greeted the male shepherd. He did live with two female Presa Canario dogs in the previous home and was only socialized with them, he has not been socialized with other dogs.
