Euthanasia Reason - Reason for euthanasia: Giant is unsafe for handling by LAAS staff due to observed behavior. Giant is extremely dog-reactive and went after a greeter dog immediately upon entering the playgroup yard. Despite wearing a muzzle, Giant rushed the other dog, drove it into the ground, and attempted to attack it through the muzzle. She was not steerable, and handlers had to use multiple tools to intervene. Giant was subsequently moved to a solo yard, where she continued to try to grab other dogs through the gate. She is extremely strong and later tried to shove her body through her kennel door while being put away, again attempting to go after nearby dogs. Due to this extreme level of dog reactivity, Giant cannot safely participate in playgroups moving forward.
