He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He approached a female Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with her. He then approached a female Labra dor mix and exchanged a soft greeting with her. He offered her a play bow, trying to entice play and she gave an air snap correction. He respected the correction and walked away. He then approached a male Mastiff. This dog became tense with hackles raised, high stiff tail and froze with a forward body posture. Ahandler broke his focus and steered him away. He then began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He was approached by a female collie mix that offered him a play bow. He retuned the play bow and they engaged in gentle/dainty play. He continued to remain social with the female dogs.
But he continued to become very tense and display challenging body language toward male dogs. He would approach the handlers and seek affection. Due to his behavior toward male dogs, which required constant supervision from the handlers, he will be designated as female dogs only required.
