Eval Comments: \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by a male husky. He had concemed eyes and created space away from him. He then began to roam the yard and explore. He was wary of dogs approaching him and would create space from them. He gave a hard air snap to a male husky puppy that lingered in his face. He started to become more comfortable with very calm dogs approaching him. He remained very wary of higher energy dogs or dogs lingering in his face. He would approach the handlers and seek affection. He will need a very calm dog that will respect his space and boundaries, allowing him the time to get more comfortable.
